Toffee BarS…

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg yolk
1 large Hershey bar
1/2 cup chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, brown sugar, flour, salt, vanilla and egg yolk in mixing bowl. Press into 11 x 17 cookie sheet pan or jelly roll pan (put a little flour on your fingers if it’s too sticky). Bake for 15 minutes at 350. Put Hershey bar on top (or spread chocolate chips) and cover with foil a few minutes until melted. Spread like frosting. Sprinkle chopped almonds on top.
